Sarah Mitchell, Founder of purreats Sarah grew up in Portland, Oregon, in a household that always had multiple cats. After completing her degree in Animal Science at Oregon State University, she worked for 6 years at a busy veterinary clinic specializing in feline care. There, she saw firsthand how diet impacts cat health—from urinary issues to diabetes to food allergies. In 2018, she left clinical work to focus full-time on educating cat owners through her blog. She’s passionate about cutting through marketing hype and helping everyday cat owners make informed decisions about what to feed their feline companions.

Currently shares her home with three cats: Milo (orange tabby, 8), Luna (tuxedo, 5), and Pepper (senior grey cat, 14)
